[Figutorial] How To Fix SIC Kiwami Tamashii Abs Joints

For my dear readers, if you have some interest for collecting SIC Kiwami Tamashii like me , then probably you must be face the same thing like me (only if you bought the Kiwami Tamashi Vol. 24,25 and 26).Since volume 24, The KT also introduce the new box design (although it's not really tough compare with the previous box). Not only the box, Bandai seems nice enough to put additional accessories such as gimmick effects parts which is included only on KT volume 24, Tamashii Exclusive Stage Act (Both volume 24 & 25 have this) and additional head swap (only on volume 25 & 26).

Of course i won't give the damn details (or it will become review instead of tutorial) since you can see on any review sites or instead just google it.

By seeing it you can judge it by yourself, although Bandai gives really good accessories but it seems they only compensate the fatal mistake that Kuuga's (and also Decade) have. Honestly Kuuga is not my favorite riders so at the first time i don't mind having this figure with only one consequence: "the Kuuga's can't stand together along with old KT's" (yeah that's because he really lack some protein that make him shorter than any KT's , well that just kidding).

So what will we do in order to make this Kuuga's & Decade KT can have the same size along with the old KT's ? Well you must prepare some KT that you really want to sacrifice in order to fix the Kuuga's and Decade.


I'm using SIC KT Garren, Faiz & Blade King as the sacrifices .  First pull out the abs joint / separate the top and lower body,  some of my friend recommend to use hairdryer in order to make it easy to pull (well i don't have hairdryer so pull out with my might is the best option , don't be afraid because the abs joint is pretty thick). Only if you try my option the abs joint will be stuck on the lower or top body, you can pull it out by using scissors or pliers (once again don't be afraid because the abs joint is pretty thick).

The picture above is comparison between volume 24, 25 & 26 abs joints (left) with Faiz (except Kaixa) & (right) Blade series (of course Garren abs joint is red not black like the rest KT). After pulling out the abs joint, you can change and put it for Kuuga's or Decade KT. This is the comparison when i fix the Kuuga's abs joint:

• This is the comparison for Rising Ultimate Kuuga (default), Kuuga Mighty (change abs joint) and Decade (default).

• This is the comparison for Decade & Kuuga Mighty (Default) while the Rising Ultimate change the abs joint, seems the charming feature boost up in Rising Ultimate Kuuga (lol).

• Not to forget about Decade since pre modified or after modified , the figure only raise a bit and the fact is that (modified abs joint) Kuuga mighty even can’t catch up with Decade in pre modified version/original. For wise recommendation, it's ok if you don't change the abs joint for Decade.

Last but not the least all of my dear readers must be thinking about the Blade King, Garren and Faiz fate with short ball joint (lol), don't be afraid because it's not like they become shorter than before as for Garren & Blade King they maintain the actual height before changing the abs joint (dunno why, perhaps some magic that let them regain the detault height) and Faiz now have the same height with Kaixa (Congratz Kusaka, give him big applause).
