Have you ever encounter the same problem like BEX ? Well I got this problem yesterday when I try to run some old games that actually running on Vista but not on 7. I already tried compatibility mode but none of them works.
Until I tried Data Execution Prevention method that I remember it also works with Sims 3 that cannot run on my computer.
Here's the step for those who doesn't know how to access Data Execution Prevention aka DEP:
Right click my computer icon on your start menu then choose properties > choose Advance System Settings > under advance menu click Performance settings > Choose Data Execution Prevention then click Turn on DEP for All programs and services except those I select > then add the exe file from games or application that can't run > after that click OK .
Some Issues
For some games or apps that I have tried using Data Execution Prevention (DEP) there's an error that causing file explorer not working. The solution is you can also add file explorer.exe into Data Execution Prevention (DEP).
