Persona 3 The Movie is already out now, you can grab it on here . The quality is poor and there's no subtitle on it yet, but if you already play either Persona 3 on Playstation 2 or Persona 3 Portable on Playstation Portable then probably you can understand the story. That also a recommendation if you don't understand what really happened in this movie then playing the game should be more than enough
I heard that there will be another 2 movies coming out after this, but still I guess this isn't good idea to put all of the stories in 3 movies with about 1 hour duration. A very quick pace and even too much skip in the story that I can say that this should follow the Persona 4 Animation after all, by making it into series is still better and I thought that Devil Survivor Animation 2 (DSA2 ) is the worst Shin Megami Tensei anime adaptation but right now this Persona 3 The Movie take the title from DSA2.
This first part 'spring of birth' covers the game story until the Fuuka Yamagishi rescue event, it's indeed very quick pace and there's no comedic event from Iori Junpei (that's what I really hope to spice up the story) , just serious story till the end (quite boring).
So is this even edible? For now I said it's not that really recommended to watch, unless you already playing the game so this movie only for those of you who really want to see 'what if persona 3 become an animation film', still I'm looking forward for the rest 2 upcoming movies (even though I'm not expecting improvisation from this movie) . Aside from the quick pace and too much skip, the battle scene, characters design and voice actors/actress are really good
note: I played Persona 3 Portable game 5 times (I'm quite a fans for Shin Megami Tensei series), so I almost remember the story and some events in the game, I really disappointed on how this movie become.
