Nintendo gonna release new 3DS models (the small & XL ) with a lot of improvements such as hardware improvement, additional buttons, size improvement, better 3D view etc.
It is a good news for you that still not buy any old Nintendo 3DS consoles. At least you will have a plan to buy this since it has good improvement. Also some sites states that the upcoming Nintendo 3DS games such as Xenoblade & Super Smash Bros will release exclusively only for New Nintendo 3DS models, the reason why it can’t support the old models because the development team for two games said that the old models hardware can’t support those two games.
Bad News for Darksider (Gateway/Flashcart users) or even gamers that didn’t have a plan to buy new one (like me) ? I dunno, It’s not that Nintendo states that they will discontinue or will not support the old models so we (perhaps) still get some games from any game developers/publishers that will release it for old models (let’s hope so).
Well it’s not surprising that Nintendo release new models for 3DS, since they also did the same things for GameBoy and Nintendo DS. If you think that the 2 new games for New 3DS didn’t sway your heart, then let’s just observe, We don’t know what Nintendo might do after New 3DS, there’s also some possibilities that there will be another upgrade (since it is Nintendo) like Nintendo DS (Phat – Lite – i - XL).
The new Nintendo 3DS model will release in Japan on October 11th, the New 3DS price is 16,000 Yen while the New 3DS XL will cost you 18,800 Yen. There's no exact date for overseas release, but Nintendo UK confirmed that it won't hit Europe until early 2015.
